Feel the Season at These Incheon Autumn Spots

Incheon has many tidal flats and wetlands, so reeds and silver grass grow a lot. In autumn, many tourists visit to see the reeds along the walking routes become red in the setting sun. Reed is a perennial plant belonging to the rice family. It grows in wetlands such as rivers, ditches, and ponds. It grows up to 2~3m high and blooms on average in mid-September. Doori Ecological Park
Doori Ecological Park is an ecological park located in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon. This is Incheon's representative silver grass location and is famous for its autumn scenery. There is a wide wooden deck between the wetlands, where beautiful wildflowers and reeds sway in harmony. In addition, there is an ecological observation facility, an ecological learning center, and a wild grass garden, so you can observe and learn about the wetland ecology.

Sorae Wetland Ecological Park
This tidal flat has a history of more than 8,000 years and was the nation's largest salt producer in the 1970s. Currently, it is an outdoor learning center where you can observe aquatic plants, salt plants, and wetland plants while the salt field is closed. There is also an exhibition hall, a sea foot bath, and a sea salt experience space in the ecological park. There is also a reed field with a red windmill which is popular among many photographers for its impressive landscape.

Cheongna Lake Park
Cheongna Lake Park, located in Cheongna International City, is a park located in the city center. It is also famous as a filming location for the drama , and many people come looking to see the mega-sized musical fountain that goes up to 75m. Reed communities are beautifully formed on the “Ecological Festival Island” in the park. If you visit during sunset, you can enjoy the beautiful reed colonies. There is a 4.3km circular trail where you can take a walk and enjoy a beautiful autumn.
Deokjeokdo Island
Deokjeokdo Island is an island in Ongjin-gun. From Neungdong Jagal Madang on Deokjeokdo Island, you can enjoy a superb view of the large reed communities and gravel along the coastal landscape. Just going to see the largest reed colony in the West Sea is worth it, but the rock formations, pebbles and the sunset along the beaches are just excellent. The trail connecting Joobong Peak and Bijobong Peak is good for trekking so walk along the path while you appreciate the beauty of the west coast.
