Recommended Korean culture Experience

To spice things up and make your itinerary unique, consider getting yourself in the vibe and culture of the local community. We would recommend some cultural experiences you can try in Incheon, such as making handkerchiefs, dyeing experience, Hanji crafts, and tea ceremonies. Ganghwa Sochang
Experience Center
The Sochang Experience Center was remodeled in 2016 from an old hanok dyeing factory, ‘Pyeonghwa Jikmulteo’, which was built in 1938. Sochang is an eco-friendly cotton fabric that does not irritate the skin. You can experience making your own handkerchief or stamping your own handkerchief, and if the time is right, you can also listen to a commentary (in English) by a cultural tour guide.. In addition, you can also learn the history of the Ganghwa textile industry, and see works by local artists on display.

Dyeing Experience Center
Natural dyeing using natural dyes taken from nature such as flowers, trees, worms, and shells. Chabom Incheon Dasong Tea
Cultural Center
At this center, you can experience traditional Incheon cultural activities and tea culture. Learn about Korean culture through Korean etiquette and traditional experiences. One-day classes include tea culture education, natural dyeing experience, and traditional Korean desserts such as traditional Korean sweets and handmade yokan programs.

Hanji Saenggak LeeDak(Korean crafts)
Hanji Saenggak operates a daily experience of making craftworks using Hanji, such as lighting, jewelry boxes, and hand mirrors. Hanji is a paper manufactured in the traditional way of Joseon by using mulberry trees, and the quality of paper is so good that it was used to restore the works of Leonardo da Vinci in Italy. In addition to the craft work experience at the cafe, you can also see various handicrafts such as Hanji blankets, Hanji socks, and Hanji wallets at the gallery.
