Trekking courses to enjoy Incheon’s mountain & sea scenery
Ganghwa Nadeulgil is a 310-km-long trekking course that stretches across Ganghwa Island, Gyodongdo Island, Seokmodo Island, and Bolumdo Island in Ganghwa-gun. The Ganghwa Nadeulgil is divided into 20 courses, and after completing each course, you can stamp a walking passport made for travelers to keep as a souvenir. Jangbong Coastal Road is exciting because you get to walk right alongside the sea, and enjoy the spring flowers, such as cherry blossoms and azaleas, along the way.
The Coastal Walkway of Sipripo Beach on Yeongheung Island is a course along the sandy beach that offers a view of both the wooded forest and sea scenery at the same time. Muui Sea Nurigil is a course that travels around Somuuido Island, and you can walk the entire route of the pine forest and beach path within 90 mins. And whether crossing the 414-meter-long arched footbridge of Daemuuido Island, or taking in the sea view from the summit of Ansan in Somuuido Island, you’re sure to have unforgettable memories from the journey.

Hop on a Luge, ATV, or Zipline
Luge is a sport that uses a specially-designed cart to descend down a track, utilizing no special power device—only the slopes and gravity. Ganghwa Seaside Resort Mega Luge is the longest luge track in Asia (1.8km), and you can choose from either the Valley Course or the Ocean Course. Additionally, when you ride the gondola up, you can see the sweeping West Sea and enjoy the sunset view. On the dock side of Jangbong Island, the Jangbong Island Tourist Center is the first place to stop, as you can get information unique experiences in the area, such as making sea-themed soap or candles in the Experience Space. On Yeongheung Island, you can enjoy the scenery of the island from the back of a four-wheeled bike (ATV). And if you go to Hanagae Beach on Muuido Island, you can ascend to a 25m tower and take a zipline ride. Taking off from there, you’ll be able to take in the scenery of Muuido Island and the West Sea while flying through the sky for the 413m journey.

Cafes and Nature, In Harmony
Mahogany and Dore Dore are both cafes on Ganghwa Island, and are directly next to one another. Every May, Mahogany’s outdoor garden gets covered with freshly-bloomed daisies, which attracts many visitors. Be sure to try the fresh cream & strawberry cake with daisy patterns at Mahogany, as well as the seven-colored rainbow cake at Dore Dore. If you go to Jangbongdo Island, you can relax over a cup of coffee at 0415 Cafe, while seated in its spacious vintage-styled interior. Or, for some sea views, you can make your way over to Yeongheungdo Island and stop by I AM Cafe, where you can try their sweet and crispy croffles.
At Floredo Coffee, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea through their wide windows, or opt to take in the sunset view from the outdoor deck, all while indulging in their variety of beverages and baked goods. And if you visit Muuido Island’s Cafe FreiRaum, you can enjoy the sea view from the cafe rooftop while eating waffles topped with ice cream and maple syrup.

End the day’s journey with a fantastic sunset view
Janghwari Sunset Village is a place where visitors and photographers alike gather from across the country to witness and capture photos of its beautiful sunset scenery. Parking is readily available, so you can travel there via car, get settled on a comfortable spot with a good view and enjoy the descent of the Sun over the landscape. Jangbongdo Island is a good island for taking in the sea and mountain scenery on foot. The terrain isn’t too rough, so even beginners can enjoy the trek without much difficulty. Walking along Gamakmeori Coastal Road, you’ll be able to see the late afternoon sunset, and if you’d like an even better view, you can stop by the Gamakmeori Observatory. On Yeongheungdo Island, Janggyeongri Beach stretches for about 1.5km, and has an observatory from which you can see a fantastic sunset in the late afternoon. And since the area is plenty of nearby amenities, it is an ideal place to make plans for enjoying both dinner and the sunset. And Muuido Island’s Hanagae Beach Marine Tourism Trail has a deck that faces towards the sea; so, as you walk along it, taking in the sunset and various strange rocks that the trail is famous for, you will feel as though you are floating above the sea.
