Special Events Exclusive to SSG Landers Field, Where the Crowd Unites in Excitement

SSG Landers Field is a stadium that those who have visited many baseball parks unanimously praise as “impressive.” In addition to the natural grass field, 23,000 seats, and proximity to Seoul, it offers an abundance of nearby attractions and food options. In 2019, it gained even more fame as the filming location for the drama “Stove League.”

However, that’s not the only thing that makes SSG Landers Field so popular. It also features a massive scoreboard, the VIC Board, that enhances the spectators' immersive experience. The VIC Board, which is the largest among Korean baseball stadiums, is the size of three basketball courts. It serves not only as a screen for the game but also as a platform for spectator engagement. One such event is “Land Field Radio,” where fans can scan a QR code displayed on the board to send cheering messages, stories, and song requests, all of which are featured on the big screen during downtime.

The cheerleading that elevates the stadium atmosphere is truly spectacular. Each stadium has its own unique cheering culture, and at SSG Landers Field, when an SSG Landers player hits a home run, vibrant lights flash and the sound of a boat horn, symbolizing the port city of Incheon, echoes through the air. At the end of the eighth inning, the song “Yeonan Pier,” inspired by Incheon, plays and suddenly stops, allowing the crowd to sing along a cappella. Don’t worry if you don’t know the lyrics—the words are displayed on the VIC Board, so even first-time spectators can easily join in and become part of the excitement.

Every Friday when there's a home game, the stadium hosts a “Friday Night Party.” With upbeat music, the stadium transforms into a club atmosphere. It’s a time for everyone to jump and cheer together, regardless of which team they support. Immediately following the Saturday home game, a fireworks display celebrates a successful finish. Before the fireworks, a short media segment is shown, featuring a video cheering on the SSG Landers players and stories from the rookies. At the end of the video, five-color fireworks light up the night sky for about 30 seconds.

[Tip!]
- You can view fireworks head-on in Block 404 on the 4th floor, and the 1st base N1 Block is the closest to the fireworks.

The Landers Shop is a must-visit spot for both baseball newcomers and *Eusseugi fans, fully equipped with SSG Landers merchandise. It offers a wide variety of items, including cheering tools, jerseys, hats, ticket holders, player figurines, keychains, and more. The busiest area is the marking zone. Here, after purchasing a jersey and player decals, you can have your favorite player's name and number heat-pressed onto the jersey. Hurry, as popular player decals often sell out quickly.

If you'd like to capture a memory of your visit to the baseball stadium, there are two options: photo cards and Land Field Four Cuts. The first stop is the Photo Card Zone, located near Gate 3 on the first base side. The front of the photo card features a randomized image of an SSG Landers player (which changes every 3-game series), and the back includes a printed photo uploaded directly via the QR code on the machine, along with the date and game details. Choose a photo that reflects your favorite moment at the stadium and create a personalized photo card to remember your special day.

* 3-game series: The competing teams play three consecutive days at the same stadium.

You can also capture your memories using the latest trend, the four-cut photo. At SSG Landers Field, you’ll find an exclusive four-cut photo booth called Land Field Four Cuts, located near Gate 6 on the third base side. The booth is spacious enough to fit several people at once, and the lighting and image quality are said to be the best yet. The best part is that you can take photos with a frame featuring the SSG Landers logo and the mascot, Landy. With only about three seconds between each shot, it’s a good idea to plan your pose ahead of time.

SSG Landers Field offers a wide variety of seating options, with something for everyone. One of the most popular areas is the BBQ Zone, located in the Gate 7 outfield on the first base side. These seats often sell out in advance, so much so that fans joke about signing up for memberships just to reserve them early. The BBQ Zone offers different seating arrangements for groups of four to seven people. When you rent a grill for 20,000 won, it comes with cooking utensils like scissors and tongs, disposable items, and a disposable tablecloth, so all you need to bring is the meat. It's important to note that grills must be returned before the start of the eighth inning. You can also purchase meat, vegetables, steamed rice, and other ingredients at the Didim Food Court behind the outfield.
